We support and encourage professional kiteboarding schools that teach the fundamentals of kiteboarding safety. Professional training is essential not only to the student but to the wider kiting community. Each new kiter must not only protect themselves but also learn how to become a safe rider and responsible member of the kite community. This allows us to protect the image of the sport, to better ensure our acceptance and inclusion in public venues.
Kiteboarding Clubs and Regional Associations have developed local rules and guidelines to develop the sport in their areas. Local Kite communities have a need to maintain and protect access to launch sites and beaches, on public lands and waterways.

KITEBOARDING ROW RULES
In crowded conditions the possibility to collide with other kiters exists.
It is important to know how to react and behave in order to avoid accidents.
The following are the most common right of way rules for kiteboarders.
Avoid collisions at all costs: Remember to follow the rules but not to the point of having a collision, even if you have right of way, you must act prudently to avoid an accident. Some sailors don’t know the rules. This is part of the “prudential rule”.
